Yes, the subject is Terry Schiavo. For those not following the story, this woman was badly injured in 1990 and has severe brain damage. Her husband has been trying to legally murder her ever since.

Get this, she is responsive to people, she breathes on her own, she recognizes family, and her husband wants to remove her feeding tube and starve her to death--a process that could take around 30 days or so. In fact, he's succeeded in trying on at least two occasions before where her feeding and water tube was removed for several days.
So today, the US Congress has called for hearings on the matter and has instructed the people involved to appear before congress for hearings.
Pinellas Circuit Judge George Greer refused a request from U.S. House attorneys to delay the removal, which he had previously ordered to take place at 1 p.m. EST. Greer determined that it should go forward about an hour after another judge issued a temporary delay blocking the tube's removal.
Here's the translation of that: A rouge judge in Florida is going to murder a woman because he thinks Florida is more important than the Union.
Hello, everyone--we fought a civil war over that--states cannot choose to ignore federal laws.
So get this: Congress wants to investigate and have hearings. Judge Greer wants to kill the woman. So he instructs her to be killed. Another Judge steps in and says, "Hey, don't kill the woman--she's been called to Congress for hearings and there's a whole bunch of U.S. Marshalls over there that say so." And then Judge Greer says "So what, let's murder her anyway, and let's do it in a way that is very long and painful--kind of like torture."
This woman is reported to be alive and able to recognize people and react to them. She's alive. Don't kill her. Don't torture her.
